We create cultural experiences that bring together literature, music, and community.
About Public Pages
Public Pages is a New York-based literary and cultural platform producing experiences at the intersection of books, music, and hospitality.
What began as a reading series has evolved into a growing body of public programming: book clubs, listening sessions, lectures in bars, and communal gatherings designed to bring literature back into shared space.
We’re interested in
Archiving stories and how they move through culture.
Hosting a listening party - especially to explore how a novel sounds when paired with music.
How a room feels when people read together.
Public Pages partners with venues, brands, and cultural institutions to produce events that are intentional, immersive, and rooted in community.
Founded by Branden Janese, Public Pages builds on over a decade of experience in hospitality, events, and cultural programming.
About Branden Janese
Branden Janese is a cultural programmer, writer, and event producer whose work explores the intersection of literature, hospitality, and contemporary culture. Her practice is rooted in the belief that reading is not private, but social, an experience best expanded through conversation, atmosphere, and shared presence.
With a foundation in high-touch hospitality and over a decade of experience shaping guest experience, Branden brings a refined, service-driven approach to cultural programming. She creates environments that feel both elevated and accessible, where the details matter and the energy is intentional.
She is the founder of Public Pages, a platform dedicated to reimagining how people gather around books. Through salons, listening sessions, and curated literary events, Public Pages draws a community of readers, creatives, and professionals interested in engaging more deeply with ideas and with each other.
In parallel, Branden has spent over a decade as a cultural writer and interviewer, contributing to publications including The Wall Street Journal, Complex, Flaunt, and LADYGUNN. She is also the host of Sick Empire with Branden Janese, an Apple-charting podcast centered on culture, identity, and creative work.
Her work is defined by a distinct point of view, thoughtful curation, and a commitment to creating spaces that feel both culturally relevant and personally resonant.
